Erica Teichert has joined ION Analytics to lead a team of reporters and editors and develop coverage for its mergers and acquisitions-focused news sites, including Mergermarket, Dealreporter, Activistmonitor and PaRR.
She will manage the North America team for the global brands.
Teichert previously served as the director of audience for New York Daily News. Before that, she was managing editor, digital for Modern Healthcare.
Her career has focused on content strategy in business journalism and using data and analytics to improve news judgment and better serve targeted audiences. Before Modern Healthcare, she served as a court reporter and the founding D.C. bureau chief for Law360. As a reporter, she has covered health care, law, antitrust and financial regulations.
She has a BA in communications with a print journalism emphasis from Brigham Young University.
