Wall Street Journal reporter Deanna Paul is leaving the newspaper for a new opportunity.

Deanna has been reporting on New York courts and law enforcement. She previously covered national and breaking news for The Washington Post and was part of the newspaper’s team that was a finalist for the 2019 Pulitzer Prize in Explanatory Reporting, revealing the vast number of unsolved homicides in America’s major cities.

Before joining the Post, Deanna spent six years as a New York City prosecutor.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Fordham University. She also holds a master’s degree from Columbia University.
